Work at BLL is organized into laboratories. Each one is focused upon a theme, solving a problem, or exploring a new possibility.

Labs must demonstrate ongoing progress and create one or more papers, products, or experiences within a designated time frame. The goal of each lab is to achieve 10x impact rather than the pursuit of incremental or sustaining innovations.

Some labs are ongoing while others are created with a fixed start and end date.

Labs are independently funded (by BLL, a partner, or a combination).
